Bayley is going through a tough time right now. First, her team lost in the women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series, and she took all the blame for the loss. Now, her friend and backstage interviewer for NXT, McKenzie Mitchell, has been released by WWE. Bayley penned a heartfelt message wishing her good luck in the future.
The Role Model took to Twitter and sent a heartfelt message to McKenzie, saying she will be missed, as she enjoyed the last few house shows sharing the locker room with her and had a good time. The 34-year-old also wished her good luck in her future endeavors. Other superstars, like Carmelo Hayes, also wished her good luck for her future.
McKenzie took to Twitter and wrote an emotional message with an announcement. She considered herself very lucky, as she made a family while working on NXT. She also said she is looking for a new opportunity with the quote, “When a door closes, another opens,” as she firmly believes.
McKenzie was a backstage interviewer for 175 NXT and 2 SmackDown episodes. Fans and many superstars who worked with her wished her well for her future.
WWE teases Bayley’s face turn and split from Damage CTRL on SmackDown
It looks like Bayley will soon be ejected from the group after their loss at the women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series. Cracks finally started to show on this episode of SmackDown after Damage CTRL members didn’t tell Bayley what was going on.
After their win, Bianca Belair called out the current WWE Women’s Champion, Iyo Sky, to issue a challenge to her for the title. Sky came out with Asuka, Kairi Sane, and Dakota Kai to confront Bianca, but the Role Model was nowhere to be found. A huge brawl broke out between the two groups, but Bayley was absent.
When Sky asked later backstage where Bayley was, she said no one told her what was happening. The members left her, leaving the 34-year-old quite confused. With each passing day, she is feeling her importance in the group decreasing, and she might be removed from the group, thus presenting a perfect babyface turn scenario. It will be interesting to see what transpires for Damage CTRL in the upcoming weeks.
