“She’s really down on herself”- WWE legend Mick Foley reveals Becky Lynch almost quit WWE before she became “The Man”

Becky Lynch got some valuable piece of advice from Mick Foley which stopped her from leaving WWE

Becky Lynch has been an influential figure for women’s wrestling around the world ever since she debuted in WWE back in 2014. Joining the main roster in 2015 alongside fellow women including Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks. The Former Raw Women’s Champion is an epitome of historic moments that enthralled the revolution of women in WWE. At Wrestlemania 32, Becky competed in Triple-threat match against Flair and Banks for retiring the Divas Championship and winning the Women’s Championship but lost the opportunity to grab the title following some outside interference from Charlotte’s Hall of Fame Father Ric Flair.

Becky holds the record for capturing the Raw Women’s Championship for the longest period in WWE history which stands intact at 398 days till date. Her career catapulted to the insane heights of drastically unachievable success when she transitioned herself into a gimmick named as – “The Man” which she adopted as a way to express herself a as heel but due to the explosively positive crowd reaction, that persona of Becky seemed like a savage babyface who was on the hunt to kick some ass and ain’t give any fu*ks to what the management had to say.

But do you all know there was a great chance back in the day we could have gotten deprived of everything Becky Lynch has done in the past 2-3 years. WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley recently revealed some insights on his “Foley is Pod” podcast regarding a possible Becky Lynch quit from the company back in 2018 period ago she got insanely over as The Man among the WWE Universe. Foley revealed that before becoming The Man, the morale of Lynch kept declining and she even doubted over herself being worthy enough of wandering around there in WWE. He later gave some advice to her which possibly stopped our Big Time Becks from leaving the company.

“So not to just say this to be a name dropper, but before Becky Lynch became The Man before she got that break that we all thought she was do. She was really wondering, you know, she’s really down on herself, you know, down on the, you know, her role with a company, wondering if it was all worth it. I remember giving her two piece of advice.”

Reminiscing on the valuable piece of advice The Hardcore Legend gave to Becky, he told her to stay calm and patient reciting one of his own stories being in the Memphis Studio.

“I said, be patient, be ready. And I relayed to her a story about me being in the Memphis studio… So with that in mind, that’s what I told Becky. And then I also told her not to, you know, not to give up on the independent scene. It might refresh her and you know, remind her what she loves.”

This past Monday Night on Raw, Becky stood over the commentary table delivering a passionate promo regarding her quest to demand a title rematch against the Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair at Summerslam. After she did her thing, Carmella faced Belair in a non-title match only to lose via count- out by the hands of The Most Beautiful woman in all of WWE, but thanks to a distraction from Lynch who played Bianca Belair at the referee’s count of 10 trash talking to her just outside of the ring.

While going by the looks of it, WWE is trying to recreate the scenes they had last year at Summerslam where all of them including Carmella, Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair were in the ring at the same time but we all know what happened after that as Big Time Becks took out Carmella and further squashed Belair in 26 seconds.
