WWE Superstars involve way too much in the ring and Becky Lynch is its perfect example. We have seen many backstage rivalries that occur for whatever happens in the ring. Quite a many times, the on screen events take control of the off screen relationship as well. Relationships build and are destroyed over petty issues if not sorted in time.
The women in the company are often known for the great bond they share off the camera. But sometimes when the hunger for championship strikes hard, it fails to allow the person to see beyond the belt. If we consider the present day bond amongst the superstars, the on screen rivalry between Seth Rollins and Riddle has transformed into a real life rivalry after Riddle spoke some words for Seth Rollins’ wife Becky Lynch that shouldn’t have been said.
Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair had great rivalry after Survivor Series 2021
One of the most aggressive moments that happened in the WWE Women’s division belongs to 2021. The year organised the regular WWE Premium Live Event Survivor Series where Becky Lynch went against Charlotte Flair. Although Becky won the match, the result was quite controversial. It resembled one of those matches that occasionally happens where the referee is unable to see if the tap or count down is proper or not.
A similar thing happened at the event. Becky Lynch used the support of the ring to pin down Charlotte and the referee declared Sasha as the winner. Earlier when Charlotte tried doing the same thing, the referee stopped her and reminded that it wasn’t allowed. Becky received a lot of lashes for being the unfair player by the WWE Universe and she vented her heart out. Supporting her actions, she said, “I’m just glad I beat her.”
Becky recalled her days with Charlotte. “See where we came from to where we are now and the hatred out there, it’s so sad,” said Lynch. Charlotte and Becky shared a great bond of friendship and went through all the tough times together. They even survived a car crash together and loved each other so much. She realises what a championship has done to their bond.
“..just how much we despise each other now, I just wanted to rip her apart out there. I didn’t break her arm like I wanted to and I don’t know if I am happy or sad about that,” added the former WWE Champion Becky Lynch. Despite their friendship being broken in the middle of competition, she was glad to win the match. The bond between the two superstars does not stay the same anymore.
