In the human race, everyone wants to be at the peak of whatever they do. Sometimes, in the zeal of achieving things, people put aside their emotions. That’s exactly what happened between Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair years ago. Back in 2019, both women were enjoying the peak runs of their respective WWE careers. However, there’s always lonely at the top, indicating that there’s only a single best, followed by second best.
As the time passed, animosity kept growing between Lynch & Flair. Although there was no previous history to that, they just wanted the best for themselves. Now, without getting too much in the deep waters, as their relationship is not a stranger to wrestling fans, there’s a certain individual who commented on the matter.
That man is none other than Becky’s brief boyfriend cum dating partner, Jeff Dye. While speaking to Wrestling with Freddie, he tried not to get too personal, however, revealed some insights. Dye told how The Man herself was initially perplexed to know that Charlotte actually started to dislike her. Obviously they were quite competitive, and that’s perfectly alright. However, Becky Lynch never thought that they’ll need to sacrifice their friendship to keep the engine moving.
“I hope I’m not sharing too much here, but they would take it really personal. Like when her and Charlotte were feuding, I would listen to her be like, ‘I can’t believe Charlotte’s actually getting mad at me.’ I was like, ‘You guys do know this is a storyline, right? You guys don’t have to actually be upset with each other for this to work.”
Has Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair finally mended their fences?
It’s been 4 years since the rift began between Lynch & Flair. Many of their fans always hoped to have their favorites to dump their grudges and bury the hatchet for good. However, that hasn’t happened yet. The Irish Lass Kicker stayed during an interview that they’re friends professionally, but not personally.
Also, their backstage interactions have now gone down to just Hey and How are You type of questions, and sometimes even a quite passage. That’s the worst part about friendship. Both women used to be great friends back then, but now, they don’t even see eye-to-eye.
