The Man Becky Lynch recently won the NXT Women’s Championship from Tiffany Stratton. Being a fighting champion, she has constantly been defending her title against various opponents. Lynch defended her title on Monday Night Raw against Natalya. This week on SmackDown, The Champion defended her title in a dark match against her old rival Zoey Stark.

Stark made her main roster debut on the May 8 episode of Monday Night Raw. The 29-year-old has been a thorn in the side of the champion since then. Her rivalry with Becky Lynch started when she helped WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus battle Big Time Becks at Night of Champions.

This week’s episode of SmackDown in Glendale featured a dark match between Beck Lynch and Zoey Stark. Moreover, the NXT Women’s Championship was on the line for this bout. The two superstars had a fantastic match, with Becky successfully retaining her title. This marks her fourth title defense within the last 10 days.

Becky Lynch and Zoey Stark have always delivered good matches. The latter is currently in a tag team with the Queen of Spades, Shayna Baszler. Last week, Zoey and Shayna were attacked by the returning Nia Jax during their battle against the Women’s Tag Team Champions.

It will be interesting to see how WWE books Zoey Stark in the future. Fans believe she has the caliber of a main event-level star. The WWE Universe will love to see some gold strapped around her waist. WWE likely has huge plans for the former NXT star, as she has been in the spotlight lately.

Becky Lynch set to defend her title in an “Extreme Rules” match at No Mercy

Becky Lynch won her first NXT Women’s title earlier this month. She defeated then-NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton in the September 12 episode of NXT. The two started their rivalry when Tiffany told the WWE Universe that she would be the greatest NXT Women’s Champion, even greater than Asuka, Charlotte Flair, Bayley and Becky.

During a backstage interview after Becky’s match in Payback 2023, Tiffany mockingly apologized to The Man for mentioning her name. She went on to insult Big Time Becks for not winning the NXT Women’s title. As a result, Becky Lynch showed up on NXT the following week and challenged Tiffany Stratton for the title, only to grab the gold.

Both superstars went back and forth attacking each other last week on NXT. Tiffany attacked Lynch with an ire of weapons, forcing the champion to propose an “Extreme Rules” stipulation for their next match. The match was made official and is scheduled to take place in Bakersfield, California, on September 30 at NXT No Mercy.
