“I’m so proud of what we’re doing”; When Becky Lynch opened up on her current run and the status of the women’s roster after her return
Becky Lynch
Becky Lynch is undoubtedly one of the most integral parts of the women’s wrestling division. The former Raw Women’s Champion had returned to WWE at SummerSlam 2021 after her maternity leave and had pulled out a quick Raw Women’s Championship victory to mark her return and show the world that she was still on the top of her game.
But a lot changed since the Man left and returned. The main roster women’s division of WWE saw the rise of two stupendous young talents in Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair from NXT and the relevancy of superstars like Liv Morgan and Nikki A.S.H. who pulled out some career defining moments in a short span of time.
How does Becky Lynch feel about the performance of the women’s roster in her absence
Becky Lynch, a few months ago, sat in an interview with Colin Murray on Midnight Meets and revealed how she felt about the evolution of the women’s division in her absence and also opened up on her current heel character. The former Raw Women’s Champion applauded the new talent and said that the women’s division was doing very much better than what it had been doing. Here’s what she said:
“I don’t know where I lay [babyface or heel], it’s certainly wouldn’t say an antihero, especially with the ridiculousness of this character sometimes. But I do love it. I’m probably having more fun and, I think, doing the best work of my career. Even if it’s just from a personal standpoint, if nobody else feels like that, so at the end of the day, that’s all that matters.”
“It’s not all that matters, but I am enjoying it and I feel like I’m doing good work and helping create a division. That is spectacular. I’m so proud of what we’re doing. Well, I think we have fantastic women and I think we’ve elevated them and are going to continue to do so and I think the possibilities are endless when you have a group like that.” – Becky Lynch said
