In a recent interview, Becky Lynch criticized the WWE Creative for their lack of effort for the women’s division. In the same interview, she took a jab at the Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley, for her scarce title defenses.

Weighing in on the present state of women’s division, The Man recently spoke with the New York Post. Earlier in September, her husband Seth Rollins also raised his concern over the substandard booking of the women’s roster. Sharing the same sentiment, Lynch claimed that women are not given proper screentime.

Going a step further, she called out the Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley, for associating with The Judgment Day instead of defending her title. “We know that Rhea Ripley only likes hanging out with the lads and doesn’t like getting hit,” she remarked. Lynch pointed out that Ripley hasn’t been defending her title frequently.

“I’m very grateful for my time, but I want more time, dammit. That’s why I will do all of these things. That’s why I’ll go down to NXT. That’s why I’ll be on all the shows. It’s because I love this and I’m trying to elevate this, this championship, and elevate all the women,” she said. Furthermore, Lynch stated that she will be a workhorse champion and use her NXT title as a channel to provide opportunities to the underutilized women on the roster.

Rhea Ripley won the Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39. Ever since, she has only defended her title five times, mostly in squash matches. The lack of title defense from a top star like Ripley is a reflection of the second-hand treatment WWE creatives are giving to their main roster women’s division lately.

Becky Lynch is all praises for former rival Zoey Stark

In the aforementioned interview with the New York Post, Becky Lynch listed a number of women from the active roster who, in her opinion, have the potential to be the future stars of the WWE women’s division. One of the many names she took was none other than the former protege of her rival Trish Stratus, Zoey Stark.

The 37-year-old superstar named Indi Hartwell, Xia Li, Candice La Rae and Zoey Stark as some of the underutilized wrestlers who can be elevated to the status of stars. The champion didn’t stop here and further hailed Stark in her statement by describing her as an “invaluable asset.”

“Being in the ring with her, she is phenomenal, she is intense, she is athletic, she loves this. She is great. She’s an a**hole, but she’s great and with a bit of time she is going to be a big star and main player,” said Lynch speaking about Zoey Stark. The duo has fought each other thrice during Lynch’s feud with Trish Stratus throughout the summer.
