When one looks at Becky Lynch‘s affluent repertoire, it comes across as an embodiment of modern-day professional wrestling. She has checked all the boxes, has been a paragon for budding superstars, and is one of the few women in WWE to have main-evented WrestleMania. Even after becoming a mother, Becky’s still going strong and aging like fine wine.
Recently, she had a conversation on the Casual Podcast with Brad Tate, jotting down her goals for this year. She quickly turned her attention to one thing she had never done in her illustrious WWE career, and that was to compete in the Elimination Chamber. She looked eager to end that drought and finally make her debut inside the sadistic structure. Lynch claimed it would be a fun way to punch her ticket to WrestleMania and potentially headline the show as well.
This year, for the first time, WWE is holding its renowned gimmick PLE outside of the United States. Having said that, this year’s Elimination Chamber will be held at the magnificent Optus Stadium in Perth. The cricket haven holds around 70,000 people, and it could be the company’s highest-grossing non-WrestleMania event of all time.
So, I’m looking at that and thinking maybe it’s time Becky Lynch makes her debut in an Elimination Chamber match, maybe she wins, and maybe she goes on to main event WrestleMania once again.Becky Lynch via Casual Podcast with Brad Tate
Moreover, it stems from the fact that Dwayne Johnson‘s inevitable match against Roman Reigns is expected to take center stage there. Coming back to Becky Lynch, she’s definitely in the running to make her splash inside the notorious steel structure that has ended a ton of careers.
How did Becky Lynch get busted open on Raw this week?
The Man did not have a pleasing start to her new year. This past Monday night on Raw, she lost her grudge match to Nia Jax. Their showdown was years in the making, and it paid off well. During the closing moments, Jax’s right fist caught Becky’s jaw, and she got busted open for real.
Following that, The Irresistible Force pancaked the Irishwoman, courtesy of The Annihilator, to get the win. Despite putting up a gutsy performance, Becky Lynch came up short. However, in what was an unprecedented sight, the fans hailed Nia Jax for delivering a stellar performance.
The latter has not had a good reputation when it comes to her in-ring acumen. In that sense, it was an overwhelming response from the fans. Declaring her next move on Thursday’s Preview Special on Peacock, the 36-year-old announced herself for the Royal Rumble match. It would be interesting to see if The Irish Lass Kicker can pull it off later this month.
