Bianca Belair has already established herself as one of the best wrestlers in the women’s division. She is in her 3rd year as a main roster superstar and has won multiple world titles. She became the longest-reigning Raw Women’s Champion with her 420-day title reign.
However, the EST of WWE made a disheartening remark about the reign while talking with Brad Gillmore on his podcast. Belair claimed that although it was a great experience, it was a very exhausting one. She said that being a champion comes with many responsibilities and she was never home because of excessive traveling.
I think it was the most rewarding, but the exhausting time of my career. A lot would not realize the schedule that comes with that, the pressure that comes with that, the reputation that comes with that, every time you go out, you want to put on a champion performance. Everyone else was going home after the Raw and SmackDown, but you're doing conferences and traveling. I was never home.Bianca Belair via Brad Gillmore podcast
Belair further added she traveled everywhere with the belt, the TV shows, NBA games, NFL games, and many more places. She even admitted she felt so sick going into WrestleMania because of the pressure on her shoulder. The 34-year-old won the title at WrestleMania 38 by defeating Becky Lynch and held the title till Night of Champions when she lost to Asuka.
Recently, she was part of a women’s WarGames match and was on the winning side, as her team beat Damage CTRL. As of now, she is in a long-term feud with WWE Women’s Champion Iyo Sky, and possibly collide at Royal Rumble. It will be interesting to see whether Bianca becomes the 3-time women’s champion or if Iyo will retain the belt.
Teddy Long feels Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill have to fight in 2024
WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long believes that in 2024, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill should have a match. Bianca had a great 2023 and he feels that the next year will be even more great for The EST of WWE.
Teddy was the guest in the Wrestling Time Machine podcast and was asked who could be the breakout superstar of the year. Long shared his opinion with the interviewer Mac Davis and said Bianca has already proven herself in WWE. Now Jade is there, WWE can build a storyline around these two op stars.
We're not saying that's, you know, we didn't have the right answer there, you know what I mean, I certainly agree with you. Jade's certainly going to be a big star there, but Bianca Belair has certainly proved herself; she is known now to the fans just like Jade, you know, and I would like to see the combination of those two together, man. You would have something there now.Teddy Long on Bianca Belair via The Wrestling Time Machine podcast
Although Jade made her on-screen debut three months ago, she has not wrestled her first match just yet. Reports were she has been training at the Performance Center to hone her skills. It is just a matter of time before she makes her debut and the fans can witness the feud between her and Bianca Belair.
