WWE Veteran Dutch Mantell recently made some controversial remarks about Booker T. Mantell recalled the time when the WWE Hall of Famer was in NXT. He said that Booker T considered himself bigger than the company back then. In response to his comment, the 58-year-old lambasted him and provided clarification.

While speaking on the “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker T said that he never felt that he was bigger than TNA. The former World Champion added that he went into the promotion with good intentions. Furthermore, he stated that he never envisaged changing the industry or dominating it. The Hall of Famer bashed Dutch Mantell for shaping things the wrong way.

Dutch Mantell also said that the only reason Booker T went to TNA was because WWE was about to fire him. This was clearly a reprehensible comment for the WWE Hall of Famer. As a result, Booker expressed his exasperation and condemned the remarks. He said that he was never fired from any company in his entire career.

The former World Champion stated that he was at his peak of his career when he left WWE. His “King Booker” persona was one of the most popular things back then. Moreover, the 58-year-old was a main event star during that time. Therefore, citing these things, he said that he had no good reasons to leave the Stanford-based promotion back then.

Booker T advised Dutch Mantell to shut his mouth and stop circulating fake news. Speaking about his WWE departure, he said that he just wanted to take a detour and explore other options. As a result, the fans saw him land in TNA. Booker T received a Legends Championship from the company upon his arrival. It was more like a tribute to the WWE Hall of Famer.

They requested that he film an episode about Sensational Sherri. However, the WWE Hall of Famer denied them due to his busy schedule. Booker T is currently involved in multiple things. He is a part of NXT, where he is a colored commentator. Moreover, the WWE Veteran holds his “Hall of Fame” podcast. Besides, he also looks after the young talents at the Performance Center.
