Since the moment Logan Paul was announced as the person to face Roman Reigns at the Crown Jewel, the members of the WWE Universe have had mixed views on Paul getting the opportunity, with some saying that Paul didn’t deserve the title shot and its unfair to the wrestlers who work hard for years to get the opportunity. In a recent interview with My San Antonio, Drew McIntyre, too, expressed his dissatisfaction with it.

Booker T discussed Paul receiving the championship shot on the most recent episode of The Hall of Fame Podcast. He stated that if he were on the roster, he may feel differently about Paul getting the opportunity, and that from the promoter’s perspective, it would be wonderful for the company. Booker T also mentioned that he understands Drew McIntyre’s point of view and would have the same stance if he were a performer on the roster.

“You know, if I was on the roster, I may feel a little bit different about it. I’m not going to sit here and say, ‘Celebrities coming into the business is all great.’ I’m speaking from a promoter’s standpoint now. I’m thinking from a perspective where, ‘I’m running the company, I can’t be thinking about what some wrestler is thinking of or how he’s feeling.”
