Former Universal Champion Braun Strowman had to go through neck surgery recently. This is supposed to take him out of action for a few months. The Monster Among Men recently took to Twitter to talk about his frustrations at not being able to do the things that he loves the most in this world.
Since returning in September 2022, Braun Strowman has been on a decent run. He wrestled Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship. Strowman also joined forces with his former rival Ricochet and the two had multiple matches as a Tag Team. They were drafted to Monday Night Raw as a part of the 2023 WWE Draft. However, he could not make a huge impact as he had to undergo surgery immediately.
Recently, the 39-year-old took to Twitter to register his displeasure with the situation. He admitted that this is a very tough situation to be in. Strowman poignantly said that his injury has restricted him from doing something that he loves, especially after it was taken away from him two years ago. This was a reference to his release from his WWE contract in 2021.
He also added that now that he was back, it was tough to not wrestle and make the most of his opportunity. Braun Strowman thanked all his fans and the WWE Universe for their well wishes. He said that the words of encouragement meant a lot during the hard times and throughout his rehabilitation.

Triple H revealed the reason why Braun Strowman was released from WWE in 2021
In April 2021, WWE announced that they had released multiple superstars from their contracts. This list included big names like Aleister Black and Braun Strowman. Black later debuted in AEW as Malakai Black and is currently the Trios Champion as a member of the House of Black. Strowman, on the other hand, made some appearances on the independent circuit along with EC3 and formed a group called “Control Your Narrative.”
However, the former Universal Champion quickly returned to WWE after Triple H took control of the company. While talking in an interview, Hunter revealed that there was no particular reason for releasing Strowman. He said that all the companies around the world were hit due to the pandemic, and WWE was no exception to this.
Therefore, Triple H revealed that budget cuts were the only reason for releasing stars like Braun Strowman and Aleister Black. WWE also surprised everyone when they released Bray Wyatt from his contract later in the year. However, The Game brought back many released superstars under his regime.
