Brock Lesnar reportedly wrestling a huge match at Elimination Chamber, set to face former WWE Champion
Despite not being announced for the Elimination Chamber event till now, recent reports suggest that Brock Lesnar will be at the February 18th event.
What are the plans for Brock Lesnar at Elimination Chamber?
Brock Lesnar made his WWE return at Raw 30 last week, attacking Bobby Lashley during the United States title match. He followed it up with another sneak attack in the next SmackDown to stoke the rivalry between the two. This is to seemingly set up the third match between Lesnar and Lashley. However, the match might happen sooner than the fans think.
Contrary to popular belief, the Beast Incarnate could fight Bobby Lashley as soon as the Elimination Chamber event on February 18th. According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Daily Update, “Brock Lesnar is not at this point scheduled in the Chamber match but is supposed to be on the show.” If he wraps up his feud with Bobby Lashley early, it would leave Lesnar open for another match at WrestleMania.
At the Royal Rumble match, the fans got a tease of what could be Brock Lesnar’s WrestleMania match. Entering at number 12, the former WWE champion came face-to-face with the Intercontinental Champion Gunther. The two didn’t trade any blows, maybe leaving them for a future encounter. Last month, there were rumors that Lesnar might face Gunther at the Showcase of the Immortals. However, those dreams were quashed when the Beast returned to continue his rivalry with Bobby Lashley on Raw. Now, the new reports have given new life to the rumored Gunther vs. Lesnar match at WrestleMania 39 in April.

The history between Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar
Despite both superstars being part of WWE at the same time during the 2005–07 period, Lesnar and Lashley didn’t meet in the ring before returning to WWE much later. At Royal Rumble 2022, the former MMA stars competed in a one-on-one match for the first time. While that match was won by Lashley, the Beast would go on to win the follow-up match at Crown Jewel later that year.
The upcoming Elimination Chamber event will feature the eponymous match for the United States championship. US champion Austin Theory would defend his title against Seth Rollins, Bronson Reed, Johnny Gargano, and two other competitors. The remaining spots will be filled by the qualifying matches next week. While Montez Ford will take on Elias in one match, the other match will feature Angelo Dawkins and Damian Priest.
Therefore, it seems that neither Bobby Lashley nor Brock Lesnar are part of the men’s Elimination Chamber match. This just adds more weight to the speculation about both of them facing each other at the February 18th event in Montreal, Quebec. Both superstars would love to complete the trilogy and settle their score once and for all.
