In an unprecedented turn of events on NXT this week, Bron Breakker has challenged Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Bron Breakker has issued a challenge towards Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship
Tonight’s episode of NXT had chaos written all over it. Earlier on, the fans witnessed a callous beatdown of Ilja Dragunov by the hands of Bron Breakker. Well, ever since losing the chance to reclaim his NXT Title from Carmelo Hayes at Battleground, the 25-year-old has lost his composure. He’s taking out everyone who comes in his sight. As a matter of fact, that knife landed on Dragunov this week.
Although, Ilja have some other business to take care of, Breakker is moving onto bigger things. Before NXT went off-air last night, cameras spotted the latter backstage and the interviewer tried to get some answers from Mr. Breakker. Seemingly upset over Ilja Dragunov’s previous comments about being the most intense superstar in NXT, Bron said he’s not letting the Russian to utter that nonsense.
Furthermore, Scott Steiner’s nephew said he’s going to hold everyone accountable, including the top guys of the company. Well, speaking of the top, Bron Breakker shifted his focus towards Seth Rollins. The 2-time NXT Champ argued that if Rollins calls himself as the Workhorse of WWE, he’s about to receive a challenge.
He recalled how The Visionary was the 1st NXT Champion and on the contrary, Breakker is the most dominant. So, putting that into perspective, the Powerhouse of NXT seemingly called out the World Heavyweight Champion to come and put his gold on the line. By the time this happened, the show went off-air. To think about this for a moment, it would truly be a spectacle, if gets official. Seth Rollins is yet to respond at the challenge.
Seth Rollins defended his World Title on WWE Raw
As mentioned earlier, Seth Rollins wants to redefine what a true World Champion looks like. That being said, he’s promised to give fans what they deserve and that’s a full-time champ. To kick-off his reign, he issued an open challenge on Twitter prior to this week’s Raw. It didn’t took long for Damian Priest to answer that golden opportunity.
On Raw, these men battled through pain and agony for over 20 minutes. At times, Priest came extremely close to cut-short Rollins’ dreamy run. However, despite an uncalled interference from Finn Balor, the Architect stomped his opponent to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. After the match, Balor and Rollins stood face-to-face for an intense stare down.
It’s as clear as daylight that The Prince is likely troubling Seth Rollins next. So being said, WWE is planning their inevitable showdown to take place in London at Money in the Bank premium-live-event next month. During the opening segment on Raw this week, Rollins poked fun at Balor’s 24-hour Universal Title run. So, The Judgment Day’s dagger would love to upset Rollins in their supposed outing in the UK.
