Bryan Danielson reveals he was going to punch miz on the face at Talking Smack

When Bryan Danielson was in WWE for a brief period from 2016 to 2018, he was the general manager of Smackdown Live alongside Shane McMahon as the Commissioner of the same brand. At this time, he was not wrestling in the ring and still was feuding with then Intercontinental Champion The Miz.

The Miz and Bryan Danielson were both very much frustrated with the company because even after being Intercontinental Champion The Miz was not getting enough time on Live TV and Bryan Danielson was medically cleared by a lot of doctors to compete in the in-ring competition still the company was not allowing him to wrestle on Live TV.

On one episode of Talking Smack when the host of the show Renee Young was asked questions the guest of show Bryan Danielson and the question was about the Intercontinental Championship, he talks that Championship is not very serious in the company at that time The Miz angrily entered the room and gave one of the best promos in WWE history.

The promo was not scripted by WWE. The Miz and Bryan planned this whole moment to get attention and want what they want. Bryan also revealed that he wanted to punch Miz in the face in the start but when he saw that the Miz was doing so good that he decided not to punch him and just to walk away from there.

Bryan Danielson said in a recent interview, “So, we came up with this plan and the original thing Miz and I came up with was that I was going to f—king deck him. We wanted to get under each other’s skin so much that it was plausible that I would legit be angry enough to punch him and so, that was the intent.”

“And then I was going to punch him, and the idea was either they’re going to fire me or it’s going to make people want to see the match so much that they’re going to have to clear me to wrestle but then Miz did such a great job – intuitively, I felt was better to walk off. Because it was like, God, this is so good leave him with his heat. He was so good. He was magic.”
