Buddy Matthews made sure Rhea Ripley's name did not get mentioned on AEW as he attacked Max Caster as soon as he hinted at her mention in his diss rap.

One-third of the AEW Trios Champion Buddy Matthews has made quite a name for himself in AEW. Matthews is also the real-life boyfriend of WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley and has been dating her for a long time now. At Collision, he made his presence felt in the AEW Universe with his Trios match with the Acclaimed. And before the bout, Buddy attacked Max Caster for taking an NSFW sneak diss at Rhea Ripley in the rap to mock him.
Caster has been using his rap as a medium to roast his opponents and ignite the rivalry. Such a moment happened on the recent episode of AEW Collision when Max made an indirect NSFW mention of Rhea while he dissed Buddy Matthews‘ faction, House of Black. Max took a toll on The Eradicator when he said, “It’s just a bunch of goth chicks. Hey Buddy! You are looking kind of nauseous,” where goth chicks were meant to refer to Rhea looking at her persona.
But as soon as Matthews heard about that mention, he came out of the ring and attacked Max Caster. The brawl then continued, with the rest of the members of the House of Black attacking The Acclaimed before even their match was set to begin. The lyrical wordsmith has earlier also dissed Buddy with the mention of Dominik Mysterio in his rap to make Matthews jealous of Ripley’s romantic storyline in WWE.
The match between the two stables was then held right after the brawling members got separated. The ending moments of the match saw Billy Gunn dominating the matchup but then facing the disadvantage of numbers while being the only person in the ring from the face team’s side. The Acclaimed had challenged the Trios Champion for their titles, but remained unsuccessful in capturing them after Gunn’s pinfall over Malakai Black‘s brutal finisher, Black Mass. Max Caster also previously mentioned Dominik Mysterio on AEW
AEW Double or Nothing 2023 saw The Acclaimed challenge House of Black for their World Trios Championship. The Open House Rules match witnessed the champions making their entrance earlier with their titles. Which was then followed by the challenger’s entrance, with Max Caster rapping his way to the ring.
Known for his lyrical wordsmith attitude, Caster dissed the House of Black members during the entrance. While he took a toll on Dominik Mysterio as he dissed Buddy Matthews. The line meant for Matthews said, “Buddy acts all ominous when he’s getting c**ked by a kid named Dominik!”
The line was a roast of Buddy, as the mention of Mysterio was meant to hint towards Rhea Ripley‘s romantic storyline in WWE. Max stated that Matthew’s character is kind of mysterious, as his faction makes him do so. But in real life, his girlfriend is seen with a kid named Dominik.
