WWE HOF’er explains why Becky Lynch badly needs a break after her ongoing feud with Trish Stratus, names Lynch’s real-life frenemy to back her

Becky Lynch seems to be headed into the middle of nowhere with her current rivalry with Trish Stratus. The majority of the fans have already turned a blind eye to their ongoing tantrums. There’s no need for a blame game; however, the creative department has let the two women down. They seemingly became sour after the higher-ups allegedly scrapped their match from SummerSlam.
Apart from the fans, a veteran of this business and one-half of The Dudley Boyz, Bully Ray too, isn’t the biggest fan of the ongoing Stratus-Lynch beef. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Ray argued that Lynch is currently stuck in an unenviable position. None of her segments with Trish Stratus are hitting as well as one would’ve expected. However, Ray didn’t criticize any of the women.
Instead, he said that it’s best to take a break whenever such a situation piles up. He advised Big Time Becks to take a sigh of relief and disappear for a short period of time.“Sometimes when you run into a situation like that the best thing to do is go away for a little while. I’m not talking about a long time … She had to leave when she was pregnant, she doesn’t have to leave now, but it might be in her best interest to leave.” said Bully Ray.
The hiatus doesn’t needs to be like the one she took when Becky was pregnant. Ray said that it’s quite possible that Becky might think otherwise and won’t end up leaving at all. However, it just would be in her best interest to sit back and relax before figuring out her next move.
Well, Bubba Ray’s assessment of Becky Lynch seems like a fair one. Something’s not clicking for her at the moment. However, that doesn’t takes away the fact that she’s arguably the greatest female superstar on the current roster. She has done it all. As of now, Lynch is scheduled to battle Trish inside the steel cage at WWE Payback. It would be interesting to see whether The Man takes note of Ray’s advice or not.
Does Becky Lynch actually needs Charlotte Flair?
Apart from recommending a brief hiatus for Becky, Bully also mentioned someone who could potentially reignite that flame inside her. Although this may not bode well with everyone, the WWE HOF’er said that Becky Lynch needs Charlotte Flair, the woman with whom Lynch started her main-roster journey. “You know who Becky needs? She needs the same woman that she’s needed from day one – Charlotte Flair.” Now, there might be a few who aren’t aware of the prevailing differences between Lynch and Flair.
They’re best friends-turned-frenemies. Despite their dislike for each other, both women have shown professional maturity towards one another. They last collided at the Survivor Series in 2021. The match was a highly personal affair and ended with Lynch stealing the victory from Charlotte. However, firecrackers were all around them. That’s what Lynch needs right now, according to Bully Ray. A woman who can bring out that fire from the Irish Lass Kicker.
