CM Punk made a return to the Survivor Series after nine long years. His return has created a lot of buzz around the globe, and WWE ratings have also gone up. After his iconic return to WWE, he decided to get a new tattoo with a specific message. Punk has a total of 53 tattoos on his body. Each tattoo suits the personality of Punk and is unique. Moreover, his tattoos are just symbols and mantras he follows in his life.
Now, the famous tattoo artist Nick Collela has shared a picture on Instagram of Punk getting a new tattoo on his calf. The tattoo has a fiery lightning skull and ‘Peace of Mind’ written under it. Nick also talked with Punk about wrestling history during their session.
Every tattoo on Punk’s body has a specific meaning. This tattoo on his body could mean he always tries to calm his mind down, but in his mind, there’s always chaos. If there’s one word to describe Punk’s life and wrestling career, it’s chaos. From getting fired from WWE to a rather unsuccessful UFC career, a comeback in AEW after 7 years, then getting fired from AEW, and now back where he started it all.
After his return, The Best in the World appeared on last week’s Raw, giving fans what they wanted. Now, he will feature on next week’s SmackDown, which will also be the Tribute the Troops event. It will be interesting to hear what the 45-year-old has to say to the fans.
Bully Ray explained why AEW references were not in CM Punk’s promo
When CM Punk returned to Raw, it was a special moment for him, the fans, and the entire WWE. He addressed the fans after the main event was over. While they were happy that the 45-year-old was back, they felt the promo was a bit lackluster.
Fans also wondered why there were no AEW references in his promo. He had mentioned WWE many times when he was in AEW. They expected him to talk about some drama and controversies during his stint at AEW. However, Punk never mentioned the rival company’s name directly. WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray explained exactly why the AEW chants are unlikely to happen.
Speaking with Busted Open Radio, Bully explained that WWE does not see AEW as their competition, so there is no need to highlight the rival company on their shows. Bully further questioned why Punk would even want to reference his previous company, given the journey was about his return to the place he left a decade ago.
Allowing him to go out there and go scorched on earth on AEW would never happen because in the world of WWE, they don't view AEW as competition. This is all about CM Punk and his time in WWE from 10 years ago and fast forwarding to last night, so you were never going to get this shoot pipebombesque promo where Punk talks about the Bucks, about Kenny and Tony.Bully Ray on Busted Open Radio
As of now, Punk has not been confronted by anyone since his return. But many superstars have shown their disappointment, like Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, and Drew McIntyre. It will be interesting to see who will be the first person to confront The Best in the World.
