Cm Punk has not made any pro wrestling appearances since the AEW All Out media scrum. Following the scrum last year, he was also reportedly involved in a backstage fight with the VPs of AEW, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks that resulted in his suspension from the promotion. Punk has been constantly making headlines ever since then.

Recently, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter revealed what happened between Cm Punk and Jon Moxley last year in his report. Cm Punk, however, didn’t take Meltzer’s report too kindly, as he shared an Instagram story describing the entire scenario between him and Jon Moxley. The former WWE champion also called Meltzer a liar, claiming the report to be false.

Punk revealed that he wasn’t cleared to wrestle when he was asked to, on a PPV. The voice of the voiceless also disclosed that he hated the idea that was pitched to him regarding the storyline. In spite of that, he agreed because the boss said so. Punk even stated that despite Moxley refusing to lose to him, he agreed to lose because Tony Khan wanted it.

Tony Khan wanted Punk to wrestle in a squash match despite not being cleared, as revealed by Punk. However, the former AEW World champion prioritized his health over the match he was asked to compete in. Punk called out Chris Jericho along with addressing Dave Meltzer’s report in his message as well.

CM Punk and Chris Jericho had a fantastic and compelling feud in the WWE back in 2012. During the feud, Jericho made things personal with Punk in pursuit of the WWE championship at WrestleMania 28. When Cm Punk made his AEW debut, fans hoped for a resumption of their feud from WWE.

However, fans never got to see them work together again, as things between them turned ugly following the All Out media scrum. Since Punk’s departure, Jericho has made numerous comments about him, even referring to him as a cancer in the AEW locker room.

Cm Punk addressed Jericho’s remarks regarding his locker room and backstage conduct. Punk retaliated to Jericho’s comments in his message, stating, “Jericho is a liar and a stooge”. It will be interesting to see how the various personalities mentioned in Punk’s message react to the statement.
