“Mami couldn’t help her boy”- Wrestling Twitter overjoyed after Cody Rhodes shuts down foul-mouthed Dominik Mysterio at WWE Money in the Bank
Cody Rhodes can now get back to his ultimate path of finishing his story. At Money in the Bank, Rhodes delivered a clinical performance against Dominik Mysterio to hand him a well-deserved loss.
Cody Rhodes beats Dominik Mysterio at WWE Money in the Bank
Cody Rhodes began feuding with Dominik Mysterio after Night of Champions. WWE had to figure out a way to keep Rhodes on television while Lesnar went on a vacation. That being said, putting Cody against Mysterio wasn’t a bad idea at all. The American Nightmare being the company’s biggest babyface went against someone who’s lovingly booed out of the arena these days.
After weeks of cheap shots and Rhea Ripley’s interferences, Rhodes met Dom one-on-one tonight at Money in the Bank. The match obviously kicked-off with a cat and mouse tussle between Rhodes & Mysterio. After a brief, Cody finally got his hands over the Latino Heat. They even fought in the crowd. At the ringside, Rhea Ripley was there to aid her Dom-Dom. Mysterio showcased his deep arsenal delivering a Corkscrew uppercut to Rhodes.
The entire bout went perfect as the rain. In fact, the American Nightmare appeared a bit more fluent in the match. He didn’t face much hindrance to fend off Dominik Mysterio. After a picture-perfect Cody Cutter, the Prodigal Son wrapped up the match after hitting Mysterio with a Cross Rhodes.
WWE Universe is satisfied after Cody Rhodes overcomes Dominik Mysterio
Prior to tonight’s Money in the Bank, there were some rumors regarding Brock Lesnar. According to some of them, Lesnar was internally booked to appear on the show. It was also noted that he could cost Cody Rhodes his match against Dominik Mysterio. However, none of that happened as Rhodes had a cakewalk.
That being said, Rhodes and Lesnar aren’t done. They’re on a collision course and allegedly set to write the 3rd chapter of their rivalry at SummerSlam. Moreover, WWE is planning to add a stipulation to their match as well. The Beast is locally advertised for the upcoming edition of Monday Night Raw. Most probably, he’ll rekindle his animosity towards Cody Rhodes come Independence Day.
