CODY RHODES FINISHES HIS STORY! It couldn’t get any bigger at WrestleMania 40! WWE has crowned a new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. In the main event of WrestleMania 40 Night 2, the ever-longing title of Roman Reigns came to an end as The American Nightmare overcame The Tribal Chief. A strong Bloodline fortress built over 1316 days came down trembling at the hands of Cody.

The fans at Lincoln Financial Field offered strong support for Cody Rhodes. In the end, they were the same fans who brought Rhodes back to the main event scenario with the #WeWantCody chants. The match was up to a traditional slow start but stayed true to the Bloodline Rules stipulation for the first few minutes. With kendo sticks and tables in the mix, the bout was taken down in the crowd too.

As per Bloodline Rules, all the expected heel stars came to the aid of Reigns. Starting with Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa and The Rock, everybody ran down to make sure that Roman ‘reigns’. Jimmy was taken down by Jey, but Sikoa’s threat was eliminated by none other than John Cena. Rocky then came to beat the hell out of Cena, in which he even succeeded but was followed by a surprise attack from The Undertaker.

All the adversities were conquered by The American Nightmare and his supporters to finally defeat Roman Reigns. The ring was cleared of The Bloodline, and that’s when The Prodigal Son did his job and applied three Cross Rhodes on The Needle Mover. A perfect three-count pinfall followed it just to hear the ‘Kingdom’ theme played for his historic victory. An iconic moment to be remembered by generations!

A historic reign needed to have full closure with a historic win. The exact thing happened when Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL Night 2. In the most poetic and literal way, The American Nightmare finished his story by winning the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

The 1316 days of glory were brought to pieces by Rhodes. It was a joyful moment for the WWE Universe as well as the entire WWE roster. The stars out there showed their love for The American Nightmare by coming out to the ring. While fans have showcased their emotions in the comments section of an X post.
