Cody Rhodes is a learned man who loves to walk the talk. Following in the footsteps of his Hall of Fame dad, Dusty Rhodes, the 38-year-old is the most beloved name in today’s wrestling. Fans could argue about what might’ve been a career-defining moment for Rhodes. Who could ever forget the magnitude of impact that the original All In pay-per-view from 2018 has had upon the entire landscape of modern wrestling?
That show shattered the attendance record for a non-WWE show in the United States. It garnered well over 11,000 paid fans in attendance. However, Cody Rhodes doesn’t consider it the greatest thing he’s been a part of. In fact, during an interview with The Dale Jr. Download, The American Nightmare revealed his WrestleMania 39 showdown against Roman Reigns as the greatest moment of his career thus far.
That doesn’t mean Cody views All In’s untamed success as an afterthought. Instead, he called it a strong runner-up. “To me, WrestleMania [39] is the greatest moment of my career, but in the back of my mind, I think a strong number two was that day the tickets went on sale for All In”, said Cody. Undoubtedly, Rhodes would forever remain grateful for witnessing a night like All In.
If the former AEW EVP had stumbled after accepting an online challenge for a 5-figure attendance at the show, his career path would be markedly different now. Nonetheless, his career has long been centered on Cody’s return to WWE and fulfilling his father’s legacy. Cody Rhodes came agonizingly close to achieving this at WrestleMania this year, but an unexpected Bloodline melee dashed The Prodigal Son’s hopes.

Cody Rhodes’ heartwarming gesture at a recent live event has gone viral
If anyone couldn’t tell, Cody Rhodes is definitely the babyface WWE has been looking for years. He’s been an incessant needle-mover for the promotion. Ever since The Son of a Plumber returned to WWE, there’s been a major uptick in overall metrics for the company. Despite Roman Reigns being WWE’s top priority, Cody Rhodes isn’t too far behind. If anyone deserves to dethrone The Tribal Chief, it’s Cody more than anyone.
A glimpse of Rhodes’ unparalleled craze could be seen at a recent live event. While greeting the fans at ringside, Cody came across a kid who was vehemently crying to hug The American Nightmare. As soon as Rhodes realized the situation, he consoled the little soul and hugged him tightly. That was one of many such incidents the former TNT champion has encountered since his WWE comeback.
