In the closing moments of SmackDown, an exciting segment unfolded with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Cody Rhodes. The People’s Champion made a personal comment that didn’t sit well and made a huge mistake while doing so. The American Nightmare’s sister, Teil Rhodes, called out The Rock for his mistake.
During the segment, The Rock took a personal shot at Cody Rhodes, calling him a mistake and suggesting that it was the reason for the 20-year age difference between him and his siblings. However, Teil Rhodes quickly corrected The Brahma Bull on social media platform X by revealing that she and The American Nightmare are only 3 years apart.
Earlier in the segment, Rhodes spoke to The Rock about his challenge and the conditions involved. The Royal Rumble Winner questioned if The People’s Champ had the authority to make the match, highlighting that he had acknowledged Roman Reigns as his Tribal Chief last week. The Great One intervened and claimed that acknowledging the Tribal chief was a family gesture because they are family.

Rollins accepted the challenge and emphasized the importance of the game for the future of the industry. He also hit out at The Rock, calling him a “mid-life crisis” and claiming it was their time to shine. Reigns joined in the mockery of the American Nightmare and the Visionary, questioning Rhodes’ decision to let Rollins speak for him and mocking the Royal Rumble winner for not getting another shot at WrestleMania if he lost. The People’s Champ ended the episode by warning Rhodes and Rollins that he would do anything to stop them from winning.

The segment reached its dramatic climax when American Nightmare slapped The People’s Champ after a personal taunt. After that explosive moment, Brandi Rhodes took to social media to share her thoughts on the feud. He implied that the success was in defense of their dog Pharaoh and criticized The Rock for turning every night into an open mic night.
Last week, The Rock commented on Rhodes’ dog Pharaoh, calling him a “goofy a** dog.” The remark did not sit well with former AEW star and he expressed his displeasure, showing that he was not happy with Brahma Bull’s comment on the previous episode of RAW.

The stakes are high: if American Nightmare loses his match against The Tribal Chief, the subsequent match will be under Bloodline Rules, allowing interference from the Bloodline. If Cody emerges victorious, the following match will be a straightforward singles bout with no interference permitted from the Bloodline.
