WWE corrected the massive blunder made on last week’s episode of SmackDown at WrestleMania Kickoff. Cody Rhodes reclaimed his deserving spot in the main event of the show, officially challenging Roman Reigns. After the events that transpired at the press conference, fans awaited The American Nightmare’s next step. As such, he defeated Bloodline member Solo Sikoa in a dark match after tonight’s SmackDown episode went off-air.

Cody Rhodes battled The Enforcer, who’s seemingly taken a backseat amidst the mayhem in his family. The former picked up the win after hitting three consecutive Cross Rhodes on Solo. Despite his appearance post-show, fans anticipated the 38-year-old to address the live crowd during the episode. However, Head of Creative, Triple H, asserted that he wasn’t going to allow The Rock and Roman Reigns to muscle their way into WWE.

The Bloodline duo will appear on next week’s edition of SmackDown. Therefore, fans can expect Cody Rhodes to show up as well. Interestingly, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful revealed that he was scheduled to take on Jimmy Uso instead of Sikoa. With Cody advertised for Elimination Chamber, he may end up squaring off against either one of the Bloodline members at the show.

It will be interesting to see whether any swerves might affect the singles match between Rhodes and Reigns on the Road to WrestleMania. Needless to say, The Rock will meddle in between to use his corportate power and receive his desired match.

Will Cody Rhodes be pulling double duty at WrestleMania?

The WrestleMania Kickoff Show has left fans buzzing with a lot of anticipation for the marquee event. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson turned heel for the first time since 2003, siding with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline. The Great One slapped Cody Rhodes after the latter disrespected his family, resulting in chaos as Seth Rollins also got involved.

The cousins flexed their power against Cody and Seth, even badmouthing WWE CCO Triple H. As a result, they might’ve hinted at another match for the Showcase of Immortals. Fans could see The Bloodline members take on former rivals in the Night 1 main event of WrestleMania.

After WWE pivoted from its original plans on multiple occasions, it seems that instead of fighting Roman Reigns, The Rock has formed an alliance with him. Therefore, a tag team match cannot be ruled out after the heated confrontation that took place on Thursday.
