WWE hints at a Fortnite collab with two skins featuring female superstars
Recently, WWE hinted at a possible collaboration with Fortnite after an Instagram post showed a paid partnership with the game.
WWE will likely have a collaboration with Fortnite
Fortnite is one of the most popular games in the world, played by millions of fans. It has various themed items in its inventory, such as skins for weapons, attire, and much more, which the players can avail of. Recently, it was revealed that WWE Superstars Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair have been selected to be on the new skins of the popular game. WWE posted pictures of the two superstars with Fortnite-themed items.
The popular game has featured The Rock and John Cena in the past as well. Now, they are featuring two of the most popular superstars in WWE once again. It looks like WWE will be having a collaboration with Fortnite, but it hasn’t been officially announced yet. Leaked information suggests it will start after the v25.30 update. Fans need to keep an eye out for the official announcement for more details.
Both Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch were seen posing with models of in-game axes, highly resembling those of Fortnite. However, nothing has been confirmed yet about the potential collaboration. WWE’s Instagram post was a subtle tease of the collab, as Lynch and Belair were there.
It seems that the collaboration will feature more than just outfits in Fortnite. Both characters might have their own pickaxe, back bling, and there might even be a Victory Royale Emote where the character holds the WWE Belt. There might also be exciting additions to look forward to.
Bianca Belair recently lost her Women’s Championship at SummerSlam after Iyo Sky’s successful cash-in. On the other hand, Becky Lynch is in a boiling feud with Trish Stratus, which will most likely culminate at Payback. It will be interesting to see when the collaboration is officially announced.
WWE has made other collaborations in recent times
WWE is involved in many sponsorships as of late. Their collaboration has been vivid this year, including brands like Mountain Dew, Snickers, and C4. Recently, it was revealed that Slim Jim sponsored SummerSlam. The collaboration will last until WrestleMania 40 next year.
WWE has a history with Slim Jim, as the late Macho Man Randy Savage served as the brand’s face during the 1990s. Other collaborations include C4. Bianca Belair was featured in C4’s sponsorship during her entrance at SummerSlam. Moreover, throughout the event, WWE left no stone unturned to feature C4.
This has been a successful year for WWE in all aspects as the company’s revenue skyrocketed. A possible collaboration with Fortnite will play a major role in expanding the reach of WWE to other brands as well. The Stamford-based company has been firing on all cylinders under Triple H’s regime to drive the company towards profit.
