Creatively, Drew McIntyre is on a roll right now. It’s the best he’s ever been, and the crowd reactions suggest so. However, there’s still a question mark on when the Scot will ink a new contract with WWE. As previously reported, his existing deal was set to expire after WrestleMania XL after injury time was tucked into it. However, according to MailSport, McIntyre and WWE are yet to agree upon a new contract.

The report added that the talks have been going on for a year, but they’re not close to being finalized. There’s hope from both sides that eventually a deal will be closed. Corroborating the said report, PWInsider also blew the same trumpet. According to them, The Scottish Warrior and WWE are working under the assumption that a new deal will be reached. However, as of now, nothing has been signed and sealed.

Despite concerning developments, the fans believe that Drew has secretly re-signed with WWE. They say the company would’ve never allowed him to pin Cody Rhodes on Raw last week had he been on his way out of WWE. Moreover, Drew McIntyre is headed to WrestleMania and will compete for the World Heavyweight title against Seth Rollins.

After ousting his opponents inside the Elimination Chamber in Perth, McIntyre even ruptured his eardrum, as he disclosed on Raw. Drew said his doctors told him there was a possibility he couldn’t make it to Philadelphia. In response, the former WWE Champion affirmed as if he were CM Punk, taking another jab at The Best in the World. McIntyre even sat the way Punk used to sit in the ring, mocking him further.

Drew McIntyre tried to sway Seth Rollins away from The Bloodline on Raw

The Scotsman called Seth Rollins out after he was done firing the cannons on CM Punk. And once The Visionary came out, Drew hit him with a reality check. The latter asked Rollins to back off from his quest to combat The Bloodline along with Cody Rhodes.

Or else, they’ll subdue the magnitude of the scheduled World Heavyweight title match, implied McIntyre. Seth, after taking a pause, told Drew that he might be right about everything he had said. But citing that The Bloodline needs to be vanquished once and for all, Rollins iterated that some risks are worth taking.

The fans once again found an abundance of logic in The Scottish Warrior’s explanation as to why The Architect shouldn’t meddle in Rhodes’ spar with Roman Reigns and The Rock.
