The current crop of wrestlers might serve as a source of inspiration to the young fans watching today. Likewise, the superstars of today were the fans of the legends of the preceding era.

One such superstar who came a long way from being a devoted fan to becoming a WWE superstar is Cora Jade. The rising superstar recently reunited with her childhood hero, CM Punk, at NXT Deadline.

The recent NXT Deadline premium live event saw the unannounced appearance of the Straight Edge Superstar. This also marks his first-ever return to a NXT-based show in almost a decade.

The last time he showed up to NXT was during his WWE Championship reign. As Punk stopped by Bridgeport for the show, he encountered his long-time fan and NXT superstar, Cora Jade.

The two superstars reunited backstage at NXT Deadline. The 22-year-old even took to her X and shared wholesome pictures with her wrestling idol, Punk. Jade has often met the 45-year-old at several fan meet-and-greet events.

However, this was her first time meeting him as a professional wrestler and NXT star. Furthermore, WWE has uploaded a wholesome video of Punk encouraging Jade backstage in a digital exclusive clip.

Just like CM Punk, the rising NXT star is also a Chicago native. A few days ago, the 22-year-old also posted a decade-old throwback image of herself and Punk.

Moreover, Jade was not the only person who met her idol this Saturday. The Best in the World also reunited with his childhood hero Shawn Michaels. The latter was one of the few people who wholeheartedly endorsed Punk’s WWE return.

Best in The World, CM Punk has been buzzing on the internet since his record-smashing return at Survivor Series. Contrary to prevailing belief, the controversial star received a warm welcome backstage upon his arrival at WWE. The superstar also reunited with some of his old friends, including Kofi Kingston and Bayley.

The Straight Edge Superstar was recently sighted chilling with Damage CTRL leader backstage on Friday Night SmackDown. Taking to his Instagram, Punk uploaded a selfie with Bayley in his story.

The 34-year-old has been a long-time friend of Punk and his wife, AJ Lee. The Role Model and former WWE superstar squared off with each other in one of the NXT tapings.

In the said match, Lee defended her Divas Championship against Bayley on NXT. The former, however, departed from the company in 2015. The 34-year-old, regardless, maintained her connection with the couple after they left WWE. With Punk back in WWE, fans can expect a potential reunion between Bayley and AJ Lee as well.
