Sami Zayn has garnered all the fans’ support in the last few months as he straps his boots to enter the biggest match of his career this Saturday. Despite rallying the WWE Universe behind him, it seems that the promotion is not bending and sticking to its plans for the WrestleMania main event. The Canadian superstar’s championship dreams might remain unfulfilled, as he will receive another heartbreak at the Elimination Chamber in his hometown.

The Bloodline story has been tremendous and has pulled in record ratings for SmackDown. The segments have garnered a lot of views on social media as well. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is still refusing to tweak any plans they have currently slated for WrestleMania. The senior journalist suggested that the company should listen to the fans, as the numbers are indicative of the fans’ love for Zayn.

Meltzer said, “Everything I have heard, there have been changes from months back, but I would say that a month back everything happened exactly the same, unlike every year before WrestleMania, everything was changed in some way, not big changes, but there was tweaked stuff. Now, there hasn’t been, so they should not beat Sami Zayn. If you’re following the ratings, the ratings tell you.”

The choice of Cody Rhodes as a challenger for Roman Reigns is not a terrible one at all. So far, the American Nightmare has garnered a positive response from the fans. The Raw superstar comes out every week on the show to the fans’ chants of his name. While the crowd will most likely respect his journey and remain positive, it is clearly not the hottest act in the company right now.

It is all going according to plan for this year’s WrestleMania. It will be the first time Triple H is steering the ship as the company gets ready for its biggest event of the year. WWE has already seen many positive changes thanks to The Game. As fans know, there were lots of uncertainties looming over storylines when Vince McMahon was in charge. However, it seems these concerns are resolved, as Triple H has already planned his Mania card a month in advance.

Ringside News recently reported that when they asked around, a source told them that “WrestleMania is planned.” While they maintain that there is a lot of work to do from now until April 1st, the match card for the Show of Shows seems to be already known internally. Thus, if there aren’t any unforeseen circumstances, the main event will remain Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns.
