Maybe there hasn’t been a more confusing thing in WWE than the upcoming Pitch Black match. Everyone is scratching their heads off on what exactly does this mean. The most perplexing part of all is even WWE isn’t disclosing any significant details linked to this bizarrely named contest between Bray Wyatt and LA Knight.

These men have been feuding since November of last year. Initially, it started off as a cheap shot hitting saga between Knight and Wyatt. Then, days removed, the rivalry got more intense and spooky. With the onset of that mysterious figure named Uncle Howdy, Knight started to realize what exactly Bray Wyatt is capable of.

As far as their match goes, a Mountain Dew Pitch Black stipulation was announced, well in advance. Some further update has emerged on what WWE is internally planning for this one. According to Fightful Select, the company is discussing to inculcate some “neon elements” in the Pitch Black match. Plus, WWE has confirmed that anything goes in this match and can be won via pinfall or submission.

On a side note, WWE was paid a significant figure by the sponsors to promote this match. So the level of branding WWE has displayed for this one is pretty much justified. However, only two things can happen at the conclusion of Bray Wyatt and LA Knight’s match, and that either it turns out to be pure cinema or a disaster.

Last night on SmackDown, LA Knight squashed a local competitor in an enhancement match. Then, Bray Wyatt appeared on the titantron with a return of the Firefly Funhouse. Just like the old days, Rambling Rabbit, Huskus the Pig, Mercy the Buzzard and more greeted LA Knight in their own way.

Before segment came to a wrap, Uncle Howdy marked his presence. He appeared on that television screen plotted inside the playground of Wyatt. After that, the former Universal Champion turned into an evil-faced human being and issued a bone-chilling warning to Mr. Knight for the Royal Rumble.

As known, last week, Bray Wyatt brought back his Eater of Worlds gimmick, and now the Firefly Funhouse is back. Since last night’s segment, The Fiend started trending on Twitter. As a matter of fact, the WWE Universe is expecting an inevitable return of Wyatt’s most intimidating character till date – The Fiend.
