WWE Superstar Logan Paul recently made a triumphant return to WWE as he captured the prestigious US title at Crown Jewel 2023. In a video uploaded by Jake Paul, The Maverick acknowledged Dominik Mysterio. The latter did not take much time to return the favor. In a recent video on ‘X’, the current North American Champion reciprocated the gesture.

For those who are unaware, Logan Paul was in attendance at UFC 295 on November 11, 2023. The Maverick was shown during the broadcast. Taking the opportunity, he perhaps decided to taunt his former opponent Rey Mysterio by giving a shoutout to his son in an interesting manner. It seems Dirty Dom decided to return the favor similarly.

While appearing on Monday Night Raw backstage before the show, Dominik gave a shoutout to Logan Paul in the same fashion Paul gave him at UFC 295. He held his phone and said, “Champ to Champ.” It was an interesting thing to see for the WWE Universe.

Dominik is currently basking in his second reign as the NXT North American Champion. After defeating Trick Williams, the young talent is currently gearing up for the War Games match at Survivor Series 2023. He will join his stablemates, Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and JD McDonagh, to battle Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, and Jey Uso.

Meanwhile, The Maverick is gathering praise from different platforms. From WWE Legends to the WWE Universe, everyone is acknowledging his in-ring acumen and athleticism. He was also recently seen celebrating the billionth sale of his energy drink, Prime. It would be interesting to see if The Maverick and Dominik Mysterio ever cross paths in the future.

 

Could Dominik Mysterio be en route to a possible character change?

Despite all the heat between them, no one can separate the surname Mysterio from Dominik’s name. With all the atrocities committed against him by his son, Rey Mysterio had to change his brand from Raw to SmackDown back in 2022. However, with his recent injury coming from a vicious attack by Santos Escobar, things could take an interesting turn.

To elaborate, Dominik Mysterio, from the time he antagonized his father, has been ranting about putting him out. So, the chances are quite high that Dirty Dom might develop a more aggressive side of himself. It can emanate simply from the fact that he wasn’t the one who took out his “deadbeat dad.”

For those who are unaware, Rey Mysterio was betrayed by his protege, Santos Escobar, on the November 10, 2023, episode of WWE SmackDown. The former Legado Del Fantasma leader unleashed a vicious assault on his idol after he came to rescue Carlito. The attack resulted in a serious ankle injury for the legendary luchador.
