Dominik Mysterio has been testing his father Rey Mysterio's patience for months; however, Rey has been avoiding the disrespect. On SmackDown this week, Dom once again pushed his dad to the limits, but Rey pulled back his punches.

The story between Rey Mysterio and his son Dominick Mysterio has been going on for months now. Ever since Dom betrayed his own father to join The Judgment Day last year, the payoff is still unresolved. Rey also asked for his transfer to SmackDown to stay away from his disgraceful son. Dom crossed the line by invading his dad’s home last year, eventually ending up in prison. Dom’s tactics have also infuriated fans, who have begged Rey to punch him in the face.

Following his release from prison,

Dominik Mysterio has been provoking his dad on another level. On the latest episode of SmackDown, the 25-year-old made his appearance along with Rhea Ripley. interrupting a backstage segment between Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar. However, Rey avoided the provocation by his son one more time.

Later on the show, The Master of the 619 was set to square off against Karrion Kross. Throughout the match, Rey was going strong against his long-term rival, Kross. However, just as he was about to hit the 619, hard-prison Dom stopped him in his tracks, eventually costing him the victory against The Doomsday.

Following his loss, Rey was once again shoved and pushed by his son disgracefully. However, it appeared that Rey would finally throw his hands on his son and teach him a lesson this time. The crowd was also chanting “do it, do it,” referring to Rey. However, just when Rey was about to punch Dom, he somehow restrained himself and left the ring. The father-son rivalry has managed to captivate the fans since last year. Ever since Dom laid hands on his own father, their match has been rumoured for WrestleMania this year. Some fans may find it weird that a son can go up against his own father. However, it’s all part of a storyline that has been entertaining so far.

With WrestleMania 39 being just five weeks away, the feud might be fast-forwarded by the WWE, eventually putting an end to it at the show of shows. Considering the reaction of fans on SmackDown this week, the moment when Rey finally loses patience and lays his hands on Dom will be a sight to behold.
