Dominik Mysterio absolutely adores Mami. Whenever he gets into trouble, Rhea Ripley jumps in as the savior. Following that trajectory, it’s Dom’s duty to ensure that no one disrespects her. Well, Mysterio got an opportunity to express his affection towards Ripley quite recently, and he didn’t disappoint.
During a live event, Dominik spotted a child at ringside wearing Rey Mysterio’s mask. More importantly, that kid was flashing a signboard that had “Di-A-Rhea Ripley” written over it. Well, that kid was too innocent for someone like Dominik Mysterio. The Latino Heat snatched that signboard and tore it into pieces.
That was a brilliant heel move by the 25-year-old. Needless to say, he has grown so much in recent months. From being a generic babyface riding on his father’s coattails to the most despised man in WWE today, Dom has come a long way. He has a bright future ahead of him, and his astounding character growth has impressed the WWE officials.
If done wisely, WWE can seriously take the storyline between Rhea and Dominik to the next level. They’ve had some memorable couples in the past. However, the times have changed and they can’t simply go back to their edgy ways. The onus is on the creative team to determine to what extent they can keep this relationship fresh and intriguing.
Dominik Mysterio & Rhea Ripley succeeded in keeping the Judgment Day intact
Things were not well within the Judgment Day until this week. After losing to Seth Rollins at Money in the Bank, Finn Balor put the blame on Damian Priest. However, the latter denied any such claims, as he assured The Prince that he was never going to turn on Balor. Not completely satisfied with his partner, Finn Balor decided to take the matter into his own hands.
Kicking off Raw this week, the Irishman called out Senor Money in the Bank. Instead, Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio turned up. Keeping her Dom-Dom outside, Ripley stepped inside and stopped Finn. She asked him to discuss the issues backstage. And later on, Priest and Balor ended up on the same page, as the former agreed to Balor’s demand of taking on Seth Rollins first.
In the main event, the rejuvenated Judgment Day took on Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. After a stiff in-ring exhibition that even caused a backstage argument between the involved talents, the heel faction emerged victorious. After the match, Balor and Priest hugged it out, squashing any speculation of The Judgment Day’s breakup for the time being.
