Authorities have arrested Donald Trump, making him the first US President to face such legal action and be in a world of trouble. He also had his mugshot taken, which was shameful for a president. This event also marked Trump’s return to Twitter (now X), as he posted something for the first time in almost two years.

X suspended Trump’s account after January 6’s riots. In November 2022, after buying X, Elon Musk reinstated the account, asking Donald Trump to come back. However, the former US President refused to use the platform, as he had launched his social media platform called “Truth.”

Finally, last week, Donald Trump shared a post on his X account. He shared a photo of his mugshot with a link to the fundraiser for him. The post also read, “Election Interference, Never Surrender.” It has been trending worldwide as the first post from Trump in over a year.

The 77-year-old became the first American president to be arrested last week. However, he is not the first WWE Hall of Famer to go behind bars. WWE inducted him into the celebrity wing of the Hall of Fame in 2013. WWE inducted him along with the likes of Bruno Sammartino, Trish Stratus, Bob Backlund, and Mick Foley.

Donald Trump has been friends with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon for a very long time. Therefore, Trump has shown up at WWE events for decades now. His most notable outing came when he was a part of the Battle of the Billionaires. At WrestleMania 23, he shaved McMahon bald after the match between Umaga and Bobby Lashley.

WWE head honcho Vince McMahon and former US President Donald Trump share a lot of similarities. Both are second-generation businessmen who made their name primarily in New York. As Trump and McMahon both worked out of New York in their early years, they formed a great friendship that is intact to this day.

In the early days of WWE, after Vinnie Mac took over from his father, Trump would make regular appearances on the shows in the audience. The former US President hosted WrestleManias 4 and 5 in Trump Plaza. In 2007, Donald Trump was in a WrestleMania feud with McMahon. Apart from that, Trump would also make random appearances on Raw in later years.

In 2013, WWE inducted him into the Hall of Fame in the celebrity wing. Vince McMahon himself inducted Trump, which is rare. It is well known that McMahon does not like to be present at the ceremony and stays backstage. Trump was only the third person to be inducted by McMahon, joining Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, and James Dudley.
