After losing to Gunther at SummerSlam this year, Drew McIntyre was slowly and noticeably falling towards the dark side. The arrival of Jey Uso on Monday Night Raw and his defeat against Seth Rollins became catalysts for this. During the match between the Judgement Day and the team of Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso, McIntyre had enough.

The Scottish Psych*path, who has been bottling up his frustrations for weeks, attacked Jey Uso, costing them the match. He has been looking to exact vengeance on the 38-year-old for everything he and The Bloodline did to him. Therefore, McIntyre cost Jey his Undisputed Tag Team Championship match.

This week, the former WWE Champion explained his action, saying he got even with Jey for costing him the titles. Later on, McIntyre declared himself to be part of WarGames alongside The Judgment Day. He ended the show with a win against Jey Uso in a single match to gain a WarGames advantage.

Drew McIntyre joining The Judgment Day led to Randy Orton’s return

This week on Monday Night Raw, Drew McIntyre got the WarGames advantage after defeating Jey Uso on Raw. After the match between McIntyre and Uso, The Judgment Day came to get some post-match beatdowns on the former Bloodline member. But Cody Rhodes came to his aid.

Following that what Rhodes said said in his promo left the WWE Universe in a frenzy. The American Nightmare announced that the fifth member of their team will be none other than Randy Orton. It was because Drew McIntyre joined the team of The Judgment Day for the WarGames match.

Randy Orton was injured back in May 2022. Ironically, he will team up with the same person who injured him and sent him on hiatus. Jey Uso, along with The Bloodline, attacked Orton and Riddle, injuring The Viper and putting him on the shelf for over a year. When Cody announced Randy to be the 5th member, there was a noticeable concern on Jey’s face.

It is now confirmed that Randy Orton is returning to WWE as a member of Cody Rhodes’s team against The Judgment Day and Drew McIntyre. There is a history between Orton and McIntyre too, dating back to 2020. The WarGames will be a brutal, story-rich match between all the superstars involved.
