Drew McIntyre is one of the most reliable and consistent performers on the current WWE roster and is even considered physical very tough by everyone. His physicality matches with someone like Harley Race and he can also be termed as a modern day Bruno Sammartino when it comes to in-ring deliverance. McIntyre rose to prominence during his second run with WWE when he returned as a much jacked heel superstar booked in a way more dominating fashion than he could’ve ever been.

McIntyre has been dealing with a tough time this year as he has already sustained a minor neck injury around the time of Royal Rumble this year but fortunately got back in time for Wrestlemania. But, the woes have shown no signs to slow down for the Scottish Warrior as he’s once again being reported to battered his bruises this time around on his back.

Fightful has confirmed the injury which is once again not said to be a major one and it might not even require a surgery which is a sigh of relief for the entire WWE Universe and McIntyre in particular as he’s set for a massive clash next month in his homecountry. As a precautionary measure, WWE has pulled the Scottish Warrior from participating in any live events over this weekend.

One of the biggest matches that can be put in front of the fans in modern wrestling is the clash between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre which can be considered as a modified version of Austin vs. Rock, not going this far or by any comparisons but these men do really got that workhorse ability Rock and Austin had in their prime.

Drew McIntyre will finally have a chance at redemption over The Tribal Chief when he makes his case against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship come September 3rd at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. As per the report from Fightful, McIntyre’s current back issues won’t be hurting him long and he is likely to make Cardiff without any change in program.
