The Scottish Warrior might be just getting into that zone where he becomes an anti-heroic character on Monday nights.

As WWE keeps teasing a heel turn for Drew McIntyre, he’s in a league of his own. As seen, things aren’t going his way of late, and there might be something he’s holding back. That said, he recently dropped a massive tease of what the fans could expect from him in the not-too-distant future. Yesterday, The Scottish Warrior posted an old workout clip on TikTok with his former theme ‘Broken Dreams’ as the background track.

The hawk-eyed fans have already de-coded that the said clip is from the build-up to his Clash at the Castle match against Roman Reigns last year. However, the addition of the Broken Dreams track is a newbie. Does that mean he’s bringing it back? Well, that could be the case, as he’s slowly reaching his breaking point. Being exasperated at Cody Rhodes‘ decision to bring Jey Uso on Raw, McIntyre is totally against it.

Last week on Raw, Drew McIntyre appeared on Miz TV where The Miz tried to provoke him against Cody Rhodes. The New Day interrupted the segment. McIntyre later defeated Kofi Kingston with help from Ivar of the Viking Raiders. After the match, McIntyre watched as Eric and Ivar attacked Kingston, showing a pattern of not intervening during attacks on babyfaces.

He did the same when The Judgment Day pounced on Jey Uso a few weeks ago. All the hints and teases are heading towards a potential heel turn for Drew McIntyre. He’s having a tumultuous outing every time he gets on TV. Probably soon, the former 2-time WWE Champion will make a decision that’s going to change the landscape of the red brand.

Is Drew McIntyre coming for Cody Rhodes?

To be honest, Drew McIntyre’s booking has not been the same ever since he lost to Roman Reigns at Clash at the Castle. Although he had a tremendous triple-threat war for the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania this year, he wasn’t able to capture it, just like he let the opportunity pass away at SummerSlam. However, over the past month, it appears like WWE does have plans for the Scottish stalwart.

Since he’s fuming over the fact that The American Nightmare is responsible for closing the gap between him and Jey Uso, there might be more than a single reason for McIntyre to cross roads with Cody Rhodes. It remains to be seen if WWE will pull the trigger in this direction or not. Both McIntyre and Rhodes have a history together.

They were a tag team back in 2010, and the duo even captured the gold at Night of Champions. Also, since Rhodes is currently the top babyface in WWE, going neck to neck with Seth Rollins, a solo feud with Drew McIntyre would hit hard.
