Last night, we witnessed Drew McIntyre and Karrion Kross lock horns at the Crown Jewel and although it had its cons it was a decent bout and kept the viewers engaged throughout the match. Drew McIntyre triumphed at the event, and the rivalry seems to have ended. The record between Kross and him at the PLE now stands at 1-1, with Kross winning at the Extreme Rules PLE.
The feud began, when Karrion Kross made his comeback to the WWE, and since thereafter the two fought against each other at the Extreme Rules PLE, where Kross tasted victory due to the help of his wife. The contest was dull, and the two had to fight again to make up for the dullness of the Extreme Rules encounter. Nevertheless, both wrestlers delivered at the Crown Jewel PLE and the WWE Universe loved the chemistry between the two.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider has since stated that Drew McIntyre was seriously ill with the illness over the past several days but nonetheless competed at the event despite being weak. McIntyre, according to him, was determined that he would make it to the ring no matter what.
“The word at tonight’s Crown Jewel PPV is that Drew McIntyre had been extremely sick with the flu over the last several days but gutted through his steel cage match with Karrion Kross despite it.”
Drew McIntyre says that he is done with Karrion Kross
Drew McIntyre talked to Bryan Saxton backstage after the fight, saying that hopefully it wasn’t like the previous time it occurred with the spray. Drew McIntyre stated that he went into the bout believing that if he lost, everything would fall apart for him. He claimed to have worked hard and to have a clear picture of his future.
McIntyre stated that his primary goal was to prevent Kross from escaping the cage, regardless of whether he could see while being sprayed in the face. Drew McIntyre said that there was no chance of him losing the contest and that, in his opinion, the rivalry with Karrion Kross is done and that he has moved on to more important things.
“Thankfully tonight it wasn’t the same result as last time when they caught me by surprise with……I could literally see him almost hit the floor and I dropped higher than I would have liked to have dropped for a guy who has been wrestling for 21 years whose knees aren’t as good as they once were. But there was no way I was losing that match. As far as I’m concerned. … Kross and McIntyre is done with and I’ve got my sights set on bigger prizes.”

Whether the feud is over or not isn’t known and fans will probably get an answer for this on the following edition of SmackDown. If the feud is over, McIntyre will probably set his sights on the World Championship again, which means he wants to go after Roman Reigns again.
