After weeks of anticipation, Dwayne Johnson finally provided a massive update. Johnson, who played Hobbs in The Fast Saga, confirmed that Luke Hobbs would return for the next movie in the franchise. Fans around the world are delighted to hear the announcement. The Rock will finally make his long-awaited comeback in The Fast and Furious film.
The Great One has had one of the most successful transition stories, moving from WWE to Hollywood. He left WWE in 2002 to explore greater opportunities. Back then, The Rock was one of the biggest superstars the company had seen to that point. Following his WWE departure, the 51-year-old became one of the highest-grossing Hollywood actors.
Dwayne Johnson took to social media to confirm the rumored news. He started by announcing that Luke Hobbs would be back in the yet-untitled movie. Johnson also thanked the fans for the response the 10th movie of the franchise received. ‘Fast X’ became the No. 1 movie in the first week and the second highest-grossing movie of the year, after Super Mario Bros.
The Rock also announced that he has resolved his issues with the lead of the movie and co-producer Vin Diesel. The two Hollywood icons will produce the upcoming film together, bridging the gap between Fast X and Fast X: Part II. Johnson also announced that the reason behind the collaboration was his motto, which is always “Audience first.”
Dwayne Johnson, who owns the Seven Buck Production, has co-produced several movies in the past. It includes ‘Jungle Cruise’, ‘Black Adam’, the upcoming film ‘Red One’, and TV series like ‘Young Rock’ and ‘The Titan Games’. Moreover, it will also play a key role in the upcoming Fast movie featuring The Brahma Bull.

Performance of Fast X at the box office

The latest Fast movie is making a decent impact at the box office worldwide. The film has made over $500 million worldwide since releasing on May 19th. The Vin Diesel starrer is getting appreciation from fans around the world, as the overseas collection has reached over $380 million.
Over $120 million has come from the domestic markets of the United States. The 10th edition of the franchise did not perform as expected from the makers. However, it has gained a respectable amount of revenue from its markets.
China has turned out to be the biggest market for the Jason Mamoa-led film. The movie is grossing over $110 million in China and can be considered a success in the Chinese market. The movie has also been successful in India, where it reached the esteemed 100 crore mark at the box office.
