Johnson has many great friends in the industry including Jason Statham who is one of the greatest action movie stars in the history. Statham and Johnson have hardly talked about each other. The two men have not been seen together on screen very much. But in 2019, Johnson and Statham shared the screen for the first time in the spin off series of the Fast and Furious franchise, Hobbs and Shaw.
Dwayne Johnson hilariously tried to make Jason Statham break his character
A couple of years ago, Hobbs and Shaw producer Hiram Garcia, during a promotional interview, revealed the goal of Dwayne Johnson every single day while they were filming. Garcia revealed that the former WWE Champion always tried to make Jason Statham crack and mess him up. Here’s what he said:
“Dwayne had a specific goal in every one of their scenes. And that was to make Jason crack. There were always the lines that were scripted, that were gonna be hilarious. But then Dwayne had a specific goal every day of ‘What can I say that is just gonna mess Jason up?’ Jason’s tough, but once you get really under there and pushing Jason’s buttons, he starts cracking every time.”
