The Rated-R Superstar Edge is such a delight to watch on our television screens. We should be grateful to still see him perform effortlessly putting out blockbuster performances one after another in WWE. The bitter truth of the situation is that there isn’t tons of time left for the former World Champion inside the squared circle and we should prepare ourselves for an actual retirement of The Master Manipulator next year in August when WWE tours Canada.
The legendary Canadian wrestler is best known for his unbelievable facial expressions and believable storytelling. He always stays up on that list of best trash talkers in the business and people even say that he should actually introduce his own acting school where Edge should lay out lessons for modern generation superstars.
Well, it appears like the Hall of Famer has a new paying gig outside of wrestling as he’s been casted for Disnep+ series, “Percy Jackson and The Olympians”, per Variety. He’ll play a recurring guest role of Ares, the God of War. The series features fantasy genre and is a pentalogy of various novels written by Rick Riordan.
What is next for Edge in WWE?
Edge suffered a torment at Extreme Rules in an I Quit match against Finn Balor. Although, the match was evenly poised during the first half, the tables turned over the WWE legend when The entire Judgement Day including Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio came to the aid of their leader, Finn Balor. The Eradicator Rhea Ripley handcuffed Edge with the ring ropes and when they were about to destroy him, The Glamazon Beth Phoneix saved her husband for a period.
Ripley quickly knocked down Beth with the help of brass knuckles and when she was about to con-chair-to her, Edge uttered I Quit in the hope of her wife’s well-being but the ruthless heels did their part and smashed a huge chair shot over Phoneix’s head. We didn’t saw the legendary couple on WWE Raw this week seemingly indicating that they might be going on a break for the time being.
