Former WWE Writer reveals how Edge should retire in the WWE and his opponent should be Former World Champion
Edge
One of the legendary WWE wrestlers still competing for the organization is Edge. With his tremendous in-ring abilities and strong mic work, he has gained fans all around the world during his second stint in the WWE. Although he hasn’t yet won a title, his second run featured some fantastic feuds.
Edge, a former world champion and member of the WWE Hall of Fame, took a break from the sport in 2011, but in the Royal Rumble of 2020, he made a triumphant comeback. He has since enjoyed himself greatly but has since declared that he would once more retire from professional wrestling in 2023.
Former Writer Thinks that Edge V/S Bobby Lashley will be perfect
Former WWE and WCW writer Vince Russo recently discussed Edge and his impending retirement, saying that since it would be his last exit from professional wrestling, the narrative and the match must be excellent, and Edge must face a formidable foe.
According to him, Edge should appear on the Raw and should request the greatest in the business since he doesn’t want to end his career by competing against a mid-carder and instead wants to do it perfectly. As a result, he wants to face the best in the business right now, who is Bobby Lashley.
After Bobby tells him that he will be his next opponent if he wants to battle the best in the industry, according to Russo, there should be a solid build-up to the bout, which should be similar to the one between Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair.
Vince Russo said, “Let’s say Edge is at the point of retirement. He knows, he’s seeing these young guys come up, ‘It’s time for me to step aside,’ but he says, ‘You know what, I wanna go out in a match against the best. I don’t wanna start at the bottom. I want to take on the best guy on this roster as a man, just to prove something to myself.’ And have that match be Lashley.”
