Tenille Dashwood, a.k.a. Emma was one of the stars who made it to the list of roster cuts yesterday, bringing the curtain down on her second run with WWE. Recently, she expressed her elation over the Elimination Chamber held in her home country, Australia, which soon turned into a nightmare.
WWE made a huge announcement this week that next year’s Elimination Chamber will be held at Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia, in February 2024. As a result, Emma, exhilarated, shared a two-word message on X. She expressed her dream to wrestle in the spectacular event in her home country, tagging WWE’s official handle.
She wrote, “A dream @wwe” with an image of Elimination Chamber’s promotional poster at 2:05 p.m. GMT. Unfortunately, within less than an hour of the original post, the 34-year-old superstar came to know about her release. She broke the saddening news, retweeting the same post at 2:49 p.m. GMT, much to everyone’s dismay.
She quoted the same tweet in which she expressed her dream and announced her WWE release. “Oops nevermind. I just got released… I am no longer with WWE,” declared the disappointed superstar. Emma was the first Australian female wrestler to sign with the company in 2011. Unfortunately, her dream of being part of the Elimination Chamber was shattered.

AEW star Saraya wants to reignite her feud with recently released WWE superstar Emma
Following the merger of WWE and UFC into TKO Group Holdings, the Stamford-based promotion released a plethora of WWE talents. As reported above, Emma was one of the released superstars. Furthermore, AEW star Saraya, f.k.a. Paige, reacted to her release with an interesting message.
The two stars had a brief conversation on X. Saraya reached out to the former WWE superstar with a “hi” tweet. As a result, Emma instantly replied and said, “Oh hi old friend @Saraya.” The 31-year-old AEW star indicated that she and Emma should wrestle each other again in another tweet.
“We need to run it back again,” said Saraya. During their time with WWE, both superstars battled each other at NXT Arrival in 2013 in the inaugural NXT Women’s Championship match. As Tenille is a free agent now, the doors are open for her to officially debut in AEW and fulfill Saraya’s wish by challenging her for the Women’s World Championship.
