Cody Rhodes finally finished his story in the main event of Night 2 of WrestleMania XL. Fans went through a rollercoaster of emotions, and it really was one of the greatest WrestleMania matches of all time. However, it also saw the end of Roman Reigns‘ dominant reign, which was, in fact, one of the greatest in history.

Roman Reigns couldn’t bear the loss of his title, which he held for almost 1400 days. However, it just meant more than that, as it made him one of the greatest wrestlers of this generation. One of the biggest influences behind his success was Paul Heyman, who gave him a heartwarming hug after the match. It was truly a representation of pride in what they had achieved together in the past three years.

The main event was amazing from start to finish, which was full of the biggest moments in recent times. Cody Rhodes was quickly reminded that this was a Bloodline Rules match, as Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa saved their cousin from a third Cross Rhodes twice. They were soon neutralized by Jey Uso and a returning John Cena

As the 16-time World Champion crashed Sikoa through the announce table, it was time for The Final Boss to show up. The crowd went wild seeing two of the greatest superstars, The Rock and Cena, in the same ring after almost a decade. The surprises weren’t over yet, as The Underaker himself came to face The People’s Champion.

Amidst all the chaos, Cody Rhodes was finally able to hit Reigns with a third Cross Rhodes and pick up the win. It was truly an emotional moment for both main eventers, as on one side it was ecstasy and on the other side it was agony. The American Nightmare’s win inaugurated the new era in WWE, but it will be interesting to see what’s next for Roman Reigns and The Bloodline.
