WWE Hall of Famer and former WCW head honcho Eric Bischoff has been very active on podcasts and interviews lately. He recently came forward and gave his opinion on a crossover match, which many believe to be a dream bout. Bischoff spoke about the match between Roman Reigns and Conor McGregor and believes it is far too distant to envisage.

UFC star Conor McGregor has always been very vocal in trash-talking about the WWE wrestlers, mocking the spirit of pro wrestling. Now that WWE and UFC have merged under the same parent company, Endeavor, fans have been speculating about fantasy matchups. One of those matches is between Conor McGregor and Roman Reigns, the two juggernauts in their respective spheres.

While talking on his podcast 83 Weeks, Eric Bischoff spoke about the possibility of Roman Reigns taking on Conor McGregor in a WWE match. Bischoff stated that he does not see the match happening anytime soon. The WWE veteran believes that the match doesn’t look believable in WWE. It’s not believable. The size disparity would just take me out of it dramatically,” he said.

While Conor McGregor is one of the biggest names in UFC, Roman Reigns is WWE’s megastar of this generation. Therefore, Eric Bischoff feels that a match of that magnitude is unlikely to take place. While talking about ‘attraction’ matches to bring in a crowd, Bischoff also said that Roman Reigns is too big of a star to put in a match like that.

WWE has had some critically acclaimed celebrity matches in the past. Logan Paul, Bad Bunny, and Pat MacAfee have all received appreciation from the WWE Universe for their stellar performances. Hence, the prospect of McGregor getting into a WWE ring cannot be ruled out.

Bischoff has maintained a fairly decent relationship with WWE. He makes random appearances on WWE television every once in a while. WWE induscted Eric Bischoff into the Hall of Fame in 2021. The WWE Universe know him well for running WCW in its days which posed a real threat to WWE.

When WCW died in 2002, Eric Bischoff jumped ships and became the General Manager of Raw. Ever since then, Bischoff has been an on-again-off-again personality on WWE. Recently, Eric Bischoff made an appearance during the WWE Draft 2023. The fans gave him an huge applause during his appearance.

Eric Bischoff is considered one of the better minds in professional wrestling. However, in recent years, Bischoff has made many controversial statements against AEW and WWE. While some criticized him, others supported the WWE veteran for his statements.
