Chris Jericho is one of those active wrestlers who have been part of the WWE’s Federation Era and the Modern Era. He finished his 30-year career in AEW, but he is unquestionably a WWE legend. He has faced many wrestling stars in his career and has met the 69-year-old Hulk Hogan in his prime. Eric Bischoff claims this doesn’t make him reach up to Hulk’s level.

“You can’t really compare Chris Jericho to Hulk Hogan, just because of the eras and the nature of the business and the condition of the business at that time.” Hulk Hogan and Vince McMahon changed the wrestling industry and I don’t think either one of them individually would’ve been able to pull off what they pulled off.’”

Eric says that both players cannot be compared based on playing in the same era (the “Golden Era”) and the nature of the WWE industry or business. Hulk Hogan, according to Eric, was one of the first significant wrestler talents who was a monster in the industry. He claims that during his time, Hulk Hogan was everywhere worldwide, and he is why the WWF and WWE are well known worldwide. He claims that Hulk Hogan and Vince McMahon changed the wrestling industry and created the foundation of WWE to take it where it is today.

That’s not all, Eric believes that Hulk Hogan has set the standard so high that he has become the measuring stick for up-and-rising WWE stars out there. However, according to Eric’s beliefs, comparing Chris Jericho to Hulk Hogan disrespects the Hulkster’s legacy.
