Quite evidently, not everyone can tolerate Vince McMahon's wacky antics. To avoid them, a 43-year-old superstar quietly exited WWE earlier this year.

A long-contract WWE superstar has left the company due to Vince McMahon. There has always been trepidation, but until now, no such cases have been reported. However, it’s now been disclosed by Fightful Select that Eric Young has left WWE. In fact, he officially cut ties with the company back in April.
Moreover, Young had a very specific reason for ending his tragic run with WWE. He never wanted to work under Vince McMahon’s creative influence. As is known, even though Triple H heads creative, McMahon is always there to infuse his input. Also, Vince’s continuous interference has also annoyed several talents backstage.
That being said, Eric Young might’ve already envisioned all these happenings long ago. After the WWE-UFC merger was announced on April 3rd, Vince McMahon assumed power as the Executive Chairman. Most likely, after learning this, Young requested his release from the company, which was granted soon.
Eric was rehired by Triple H in late 2022. Since then, he has never actually appeared on television. It was noted in Fightful’s report that the creative had plans for him post-WrestleMania 39. However, he decided not to continue with the company. His 90-day non-complete clause expired just in time to let him appear on last night’s Impact Wrestling’s Slammiversary pay-per-view event.

WWE officials are trying to stop Vince McMahon’s creative influence
Everyone is growing frustrated with Vince McMahon‘s remote changes to weekly scripts. Even though he rarely visits WWE shows these days, McMahon stays connected via phone calls and video calls. Most of the WWE officials backstage are forcibly told to make changes to their original plans for a show. For instance, last month’s Raw in Cleveland was changed by the 78-year-old.
The original plans called for a Seth Rollins open challenge. Moreover, it was set to be answered by Tommaso Ciampa. However, Vince asked to completely scrap the match and instead have Finn Balor ambush the champ from behind. The move received mixed reactions from the WWE Universe.
But to no one’s surprise, everyone was devoid of a potential show-stealer between Rollins & Ciampa. Backstage figures were too unhappy after how things went down. Apparently, everyone wanted the match to go as originally planned. Since then, WWE has played smart on occasions. They’re announcing stuff in advance to prevent any trimming from McMahon.
