“It depends,” Erick Rowan Discusses Potential Appearance in the WWE Royal Rumble in 2023

Erick Rowan might follow suit and rejoin his side in WWE. In a recent appearance on the "Ten Count" podcast,

Erick Rowan is one of the great potential wrestlers who could have been one of the biggest stars in WWE. He wrestled in Japan, and he came and joined WWE in 2011. As a member of the Wyatt family, WWE sent him to the company’s developmental territory. In April 2020, WWE let Ruud go, and he’s now competing again on the independent scene.

Fans of WWE are having a blast over the last six months with different rumors. They have learned to anticipate the unexpected each January when the Royal Rumble comes around. Fans have grown to expect the unexpected because former WWE stars or wrestlers from other wrestling make surprise appearances in the yearly Royal Rumble battle to make it more memorable than the prior one.

Since Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman came back to WWE last year, many fans have been hoping that their old friend Erick Rowan would do the same. Fans want him to come back to his side, as they were one of the scariest teams in the WWE industry. Rowan says on the “Ten Count” podcast that he’s not sure if WWE wants him back for the upcoming Royal Rumble match.

“As far as appearing [at the Royal Rumble], I would be the last to know.That’s why I always say, I always laugh, ‘I’ll probably hear a rumor,’ I don’t know.” Rowen told fall.

Erick Rowan claims he would be the last to know if he would join everyone else in the Royal Rumble. He says that it’s in the hands of the fans in the sense of who they want to return to, and the WWE industry contacts them to fulfill their needs. He talks about the structure in the WWE in which there are rumors by fans and then there is a phase of craze where they create a situation where, without this rumor being true, Triple H’s WWE will fail the Rumble.

WWE last saw Rowan in March 2020. During the epidemic layoffs, WWE canceled the former SmackDown tag team champion’s contract. Since then, he has sometimes competed alone. After his longtime Wyatt Family partner, Luke Harper, died, the athlete was psychologically hurt. He made a few All Elite Wrestling appearances over time.

During the sacking of Erick Rowan, Wyatt was also let go by WWE; nevertheless, he returned to the organization this past October in the closing seconds of the Extreme Rules Premium Live Event. Fans hope Erick also makes a comeback in the upcoming Royal Rumble.
