Bray Wyatt has had a rocky time in WWE since returning in October 2022. Wyatt got injured and has been out of action since March. There had been rumors that WWE had big plans for Wyatt. The company also planned on bringing some members for a faction for The Eater of the Worlds. The latest post from former Tag Team Champion Erick Rowan sheds light on the ongoing rumors.
Various reports indicated that after his return in 2022, WWE planned to form a faction for Bray Wyatt. The first character, “Uncle Howdy” was introduced to the fans, and other members were initially teased. However, Wyatt was shelved due to an undisclosed injury before any more characters were introduced. He also missed WrestleMania for the same reason.
It looks like the former Universal Champion might make a return soon, according to the reports. It also seems that he will not be alone. Erick Rowan recently shared a cryptic tweet with a face mask from his time as a Wyatt family member. The picture could mean that Rowan might also return to WWE with the leader of the Wyatt family.
Rowan was last seen in WWE in 2020. He was part of a list of superstars who were suddenly released from their contracts in April due to budget cuts. Apart from making some sporadic appearances in AEW, Rowan was not seen on television a lot. He did make some independent appearances for various promotions.

Erick Rowan blames himself for being released from WWE
Rowan debuted in WWE with Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper. The Wyatt Family soon became one of the hottest acts in the company. Their feuds with The Shield, Daniel Bryan, and CM Punk were among the best storylines WWE had at the time. The AEW star won Tag titles multiple times with Harper before breaking up the team and joining forces with Daniel Bryan in 2019.
Recently, while talking on Heated Shenanigans, the 41-year-old talked about his WWE release in 2020. He said, “If something doesn’t work, I blame myself, I don’t blame creative.” Rowan also revealed that he does not object to anything that the creative tells him to do. He also said that he was unhappy with himself when he was released, as he believed that was his failure.
After over three years of being released from WWE, Erick Rowan still hopes to return to the company and have another run. Fans will look forward to seeing the giant team up with his former group member, Bray Wyatt, who is also rumored to return soon.
