Former WWE superstar Eva Marie has recently shared a tweet about 2023 while tagging multiple WWE account and hashtags, that got the rumor going of a possible return.

As the Royal Rumble season is here, many wrestlers, active and “retired”, are jumping on the bandwagon, teasing their possible return at the Premium Live Event. Former WWE superstar Eva Marie has now become the latest to do so in a cryptic tweet she posted recently on Twitter.

Eva Marie is currently pursuing her passion for acting and modeling in Hollywood. She had brief roles in two films, Inconceivable (2017) and Hard Kill (2020). In her recent tweet, Marie tagged the WWE account and the Fox account as well and said, “Heading into 2023 like …” along with a video. Fans took this tweet as a possible tease of a return to her former company.

Eva Marie made her WWE debut the same year she signed with the company in 2013. She had no prior experience in the ring and was exclusively trained at WWE Performance Center. In the same year Marie was also starred in the new reality show on E! called Total Divas.

Despite having a few Divas and NXT women’s title matches, Eva Marie never held any championship in her short pro wrestling career. Her last appearance in WWE was in September 2021, when she was attacked by Shayna Baszler and written off TV. She was released in November later that year and started pursuing her acting and modeling career. Last year, she finished shooting her first film in the lead role, Phoenix. The release date of the film is not yet known.

Rumored returns for Royal Rumble 2023

There are many names rumored to return on the January 28th event. The biggest names for the men’s Royal Rumble match are The Rock and Cody Rhodes. These two could not only return but possibly win the whole match. The other name surfacing around is Matt Cardona, who has teased his return for the past few weeks on Twitter. Edge might also return after taking some time off last year to recover from his grueling “I Quit” match against Finn Balor at Extreme Rules.

In the Women’s Royal Rumble, we can always expect legends like Lita, Trish Stratus, and Beth Phoenix to make an appearance in the match. Someone like Eva Marie, Doudrop, or even Mickie James could surprise the WWE universe by returning to the ring as well. However, the current favorites to win the match are Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch.

Royal Rumble is one of the most exciting times of the year for wrestling fans. It is not just the matches but the rumors, reports, and theories surrounding it which make them even more interesting.
