The legendary luchador Rey Mysterio‘s career has been full of ups and downs. He has been the victim of many attacks from his close ones, and it looks like that might be the case once again. Fans speculate that another brutal betrayal is written in Mysterio’s future, and the name in question is Carlito.

On the latest episode of SmackDown, Rey Mysterio challenged the duo of Dominik Mysterio and Santos Escobar in a tag team match at WrestleMania. Just when Carlito thought The Master of 619 was going to choose him as his partner, he introduced Dragon Lee as L.W.O.’s newest member. After hearing Lee’s name, fans were quick to notice a sudden change in the expressions of the 45-year-old star.

Mysterio made his return to in-ring action in a grudge match against Escobar last week on SmackDown. Although it looked like The Ultimate Underdog was close to a victory, an unknown masked man came through the crowd. That man was revealed to be Dirty Dom, as Escobar took advantage of the distraction.

Since Carlito’s fantastic return at Backlash in Puerto Rico, he hasn’t made any impact yet. Instead of showing his true personality, which fans loved him for, he was just there as another L.W.O. member. However, with the seeds of jealousy planted in his head, it will be interesting to see whether he plays a key role in the tag team match at WrestleMania or not.

Fans predict Carlito will turn on Rey Mysterio on social media

After Rey Mysterio chose Dragon Lee as his partner, fans started to speculate that another betrayal was coming, this time from Carlito. Some fans are all in to see the heel version of him once again, while others called this storyline of betrayal very predictable.

Some fans liked the possibility of Carlito turning, as they would get to see the legendary heel side of him again. There was also some portion of the fanbase that felt that this storyline was too repetitive and pointless.

One user came up with unique advice for Rey: that he should leave the group as soon as possible. Overall, the majority of fans think that the 45-year-old will definitely betray L.W.O. and Rey Mysterio.
